Joshua Olusegun BOLARINWA, PhD
Joshua Olusegun BOLARINWA, PhD is a Senior Research Fellow and Head; Division of Area Country Studies, Research and Studies Department of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) Lagos. He is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, the University of Ibadan (UI) Ibadan and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Lagos, Nigeria; where he earned his degrees with a specialization in International Relations, Security and Strategic Studies. He is also a Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (Germany) and International Peace Academy (U.S.A) scholar. He teaches International Relations, Strategic Studies, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the Lagos State University (LASU) and National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) (on part-time basis) respectively. His research interest is in Security, Defence and Strategic Studies; Peace and Conflict Resolution, Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Peace Building, Gender Studies, Humanitarian Intervention, Refugee Studies, IDPs and Migration Studies etc. He is a member and the Assistant National Secretary of the Nigerian Society of International Affairs (NSIA), member, Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Historical Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management, African Refugee Foundation and the Nigerian Red Cross Society among others. He has attended several National and International Conferences, Seminars and Workshops.
