His Excellency, former Governor of Lagos state, @akinwunmiambode and His Excellency former Minister of Foreign Affairs Barr. Odein Ajumogobia SAN were some of the many dignitaries that graced the @official_niia Distinguished public lecture yesterday. The former Minister of External Affairs, Prof. A. Bolaji Akinyemi delivered the lecture on “the new world order” yesterday at the NIIA’s Lecture Theatre. The veteran scholar in reviewing the Nigerian factor of the new world order, emphasized the need for Africa to be present at the table where the design of the new world order would take place. He stressed that we must admit that in the past 16years, the voice of Nigeria on global affairs has been embarrassing and irritatingly silent. He further reiterated the need for the government of the day to practice an inclusive form of governance and be more interested in its foreign Affairs.
