… Quest for inter-institutes’ collaboration tops agenda

The Nigerian Institute of International Affairs(NIIA), yesterday, played host to a high-powered delegation from Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute.

The delegation which was led by Amb.(Dr.) M. M Muchada was welcomed into the NIIA by the Director General, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae.

The first phase of the activities was a tour across different sections of the NIIA complex at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State .

At the main session of the event, the Director General if the NIIA, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae revealed arrays of intellectual contributions made by the NIIA to diplomatic developments in Africa.

Prof. Osaghae also expressed NIIA’s readiness to deploy her decades of experiences in grooming Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute.

The head of the delegation Amb. Muchada, said the interactive meeting was initiated to tap from NIIA’s cutting edge approach to foreign affairs developments.

The Zimbabwe Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E Maxwell Ranga, said sixty-one(61)years experience of the NIIA as a foreign affairs Think-Tank deserved to be understudied, hence their visit.

He also solicited NIIA’s future collaborations with Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute.

Other sessions of the meeting included succinct presentations from all Head of Units under Research and Studies Department of the NIIA.

Others in the Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute’s delegation were Major Retired Dr A. Mutambudzi – Vice Chairperson,Mr S Nkala – Board Member,Amb. Dr M. Mapuranga – Director General and T. Zhou – Deputy Director HR. Secretary on Benchmarking.
